In the midst of these challenging Coronavirus days that we are all at home quarantine, more than any time we have the chance to appreciate the fact that we are blessed with an amazing mind that is equipped with an imagination that can take us to anywhere we want it to take us. Let our imagination take us to green grassy hills, impassable mighty mountains, spectacular landscapes, unknown territory, and ancient cities. Let get bewildered by the immensity of life.
These days, we’d expected to be in Zagros mountains with the nomads … getting up by the sunrise, following the nomads when they take the herds to the surrounding pastures, hearing the nomads’ whoops and calls when they bounce around the valleys, fetching water from Zagros springs, sitting by the fire near the nomads’ tent, eating the fish bread made by nomad women and then sleeping by the sunset under the starry sky. Instead, we are self-isolating, taking our time thinking about the unsurpassed experiences and adventures we’ve had with the locals and nomads.
As you might probably guess, because of the Coronavirus situation taking over the world, we have also canceled our tours in spring (which is actually our busiest time of the year). But, just like many of you at home, we are trying to make the most out of this mandatory time at home, and branch out to try new things until the whole world is healed. Hoping that it’s resolved soon.
