Iran Visa:

Get Your Tourist Visa to Iran!

Once you have decided to visit Iran as a tourist destination, one of your first questions is ‘can I get a visa?’

The answer is surely yes! Even if you are a US or UK citizen, all you need to do extra is find an official tour guide for your trip, for example, though Iran Nomad Tours.

Please, note that if you are a tourist from such countries as Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Georgia, Armenia, Venezuela, Egypt and Malaysia, you can freely enter Iran for up to 15 days without filling any application.

Also, you do not need a visa if you plan a 14-day stay in such areas as Kish Island, Qeshm Island, Chabahar, Maku, Arvand, Anzali, and Aras.

So, let’s assume you need a visa. What do you do?

What You Need to Do to Get Your Iran Visa

First, make sure to have:

  •  Scan of your passport that has at least 6 months validity
  • Personal photo with a solid white background (ladies are not required to wear head coverings)

After that, download the visa form from below, fill it in and send all three to us.

  • Fill out the visa

We, on our side, will submit all required documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to receive your Invitation Letter(Authorization Number). Generally, for most nationalities, it takes around 7-10 business days to receive that 18-digit code, but for American, British, and Canadian citizens, it takes up to 1-2 months.

Having this code, you can easily refer to an Iran embassy in your country or international Iran airports and receive Iran Visa Sticker in your passport there.

Please, note that once you get the code, you have 1 month to receive a visa stamp. Since that day, you have 3 months to both enter and leave Iran. The maximum single-entry stay is 30 days. After 30 days, the visa must be renewed.

The Cost of Iran Visa

The Visa Fee consists of 2 parts:

  • The Fee paid to the agency which is about 50 Euros
  • Stamp fee which depends on your nationality (typically between 30-75 Euros) and should be paid when you receive your visa stamp (either at embassy or an airport)

If you pay for visa stamp at an international airport in Iran, please always remember to pay with an exact cash amount as credit cards are not accepted.

Please, note that you are required to have travel insurance valid in Iran on you as well. For more information on insurance, please refer to our Insurance page.
