In the morning, we drive from Isfahan to Shahr-e Kord, and then to settled Nomad villages. On our way, we have the opportunity to soak in the beauty of Zagros nature. After 5 hours of driving, we reach a tranquil village near the Mountain foothills called Gazestan. In the afternoon, we have 3-hour hiking in Dezpart Steps to reach Khoda-Afarin Bridge (made by God) which is a naturally-made bridge over Bazoft River. These 6000-year-old steps have been the only way for the Nomads to pass in their seasonal migrations since hundred years ago. Today, only 73 steps remained. Night, we will stay in a village house.
Depart the village early in the morning. Around 8 am we are in Lebd district ready to begin our hiking. Today’s hike is quite amazing; offering a view of imposing mountains & fantastic valleys (sometimes glacial valleys). It takes 7 hours to reach lovely Tembi Lake behind the mountain ranges. After enjoying our accomplishment we will camp near the lake.
The sunrise we are going to experience today is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Today is our final push to the summit of Mt. Keyno. It is an 8-hour hike and it is to some extend challenging, but very fulfilling. When you reach the peak, take your time to enjoy the amazing sceneries of the Zagros range of mountains. We will also meet the Nomads of the area. We will camp there for a well-deserved rest and we will have our last dinner on the mountain.
Today, our odyssey is finished. We say goodbye to the Nomads and descend down the mountain to reach our car. After some hours driving, we arrive Isfahan.
